Flames 01:17
we’re all enslaved by these masters as they control, propagandize and manipulate the masses play on my insecurities you will never get my soul think of all we could have won keep in mind of all they stole I say burn the flags with flames of revolution reversing their power is our solution and with every barricade put aside we get a step closer to take what belongs to us history repeats again yeah the same formula stays true life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness seems more like the pursuit of profit and self-interest we’re pushed in the corner and there’s only one way to make it out of here: revolution now!

Blindfold 00:59
open your eyes, don't believe what they say we've all been brainwashed by the ones we've chosen to be our voice we've been reversed they made it seem that war is peace, fascism is freedom and job loss is prosperity don't be hypnotized by all those false promises, think for yourself don't be controlled by the ones who gain power to control us trough us so much we don't know, so many secrets we're tired of lies we want the truth
3.
I see you proudly waving your flag high. I don’t get your reason so I ask you: “why?” “it symbolizes my ideas” you said. “the only good fascist is dead” is what I say when I hear your points of view. we’re just not the same persons, I’m not like you. And I would be burning flags if they weren’t so expensive. I would turn your ideas to ashes, if I could just get the flames inside. but you don’t seem to understand what I’ve said. you still wave your flag high above your head. I guess I can never change your mind. you’re ignorant and you stare yourself blind. hate based on color or sexuality, have you forgotten about the white man’s history? and I would be burning flags if they weren’t so expensive. I would turn your ideas to ashes, if I could just get the flames inside. burn it to the ground until there’s nothing left but dust.

destruction marks their path, wherever they have been they got it all well covered but it’s the world we’re living in the waste of every life and everything that’s in their way is not remained unseen but we just ignore everything they do and say some may think: “as long as we remain unharmed it’s ok to live in a lie” open your eyes! children are working in inhuman condition, people die! the third world is a playground for multinational companies over there the battles continue, nobody’s respected, it’s all about money they come around and pin us down with the power that’s in their hands were locked behind these bars of ignorance and that’s a powerful fence we don’t have to be afraid to stand up against these crimes everywhere there are people who want to stand up but we’re running out of time silent are these voices but united as one this battle is not over yet, it has just begun behind this pain and misery there’s prosperity that’s what we believe so stand up, speak up, scream out loud: unity!

Intifada 02:59
bloodstains veil the asphalt, the road we once walked with still a future in sight, when we weren’t forgotten yet. rotting in unmarked graves, died with stones in our hands, outrages screaming the last words before blood filled our longs and guns silenced truth: the first casualty of every war is always the same. your “holy land” is soiled with corpses and in the shadows of these empires we live under your oppression by the lines you draw, the borders you call your own. and the little hope we’d left is buried under ashes of broken homes, collapsed under the pressure of the Zionist dream and bulldozers fueled by hatred. I spit on your wall like you kick in our face. every time I see your flag waving, it reminds me of the knife you planted in our backs when you drove us away. we are refugees in our own home.

about

Flames Of Revolution formed in 2004 in the area of Helchteren.

In 2008 we spent a whole day recording drums. A few days later our computer crashed. After that summer we all went to colleges in different cities. The band split up soon after.
Early 2010 our friend Jodi was able to transfer the files from our crashed computer. That same year Brecht and Bert recorded some guitar, bass and vocal tracks. We never managed to completely finish the most anticipated 'i see clouds' release ever: the F.O.R. demo.

The bass track is missing on 'Burning Flags'.
'Intifada' and 'Jannes Got Fucked...' are crappy rehearsal recordings. The demo versions never got finished.

Thanks to the fans we don't have for their patience. No thanks at all to Bob, the lousiest manager ever.

It's better to burn flags than to fade away.
Keep on fueling the flame...

Bert - vocals
Jan - drums
Brecht - guitar
An - guitar
Jannes – (out of tune) bass
